Microwave Vegetable Recipes

Microwave Green Beans - click for recipeMicrowave vegetable recipes! Yes, finally, all the recipes for vegetables cooked in the microwave are collected in one place.

Most specify covering the dish before cooking so use either a casserole dish (microwave-safe, of course) or plastic wrap. For safety, after cooking vegetables under plastic wrap, slit the plastic to let the steam release before removing it. Microwaves vary so much in power, so please use the time instructions in these recipes as a guideline.

I'm still learning about cooking vegetables in the microwave so would appreciate your ideas and recipes! ~ Alanna

It is very easy to OVER COOK fresh corn in the microwave. A good test is to cook it until it gets very hot to the touch - no longer. Over cooked microwaved fresh corn gets very mushy. Also, don't add water to the baking dish. Just rinse it off after shucking and over it with a wet paper towel. That is all the moisture it needs to steam.

Just discovered you while searching to find out if I could microwave my golden beets.m i am trying to find out where I can follow you.
